Shawnee United Methodist Church

Shawnee United Methodist Church is a local church that is a part of the United Methodist Church denomination. The United Methodist church exists globally and we are one of them. While we belong to a denomination, we are not a cookie cutter variety of church. We are Protestant in our faith, and each local congregation of the United Methodist Church is connected by our common basic belief system. Yet, we are distinguished individually by location, mission and vision. As one pastor has stated: “We are all churches within one family, our first name might be different (Asbury, Shawnee, Trinity, Church of the Resurrection, Aldersgate), but our last name is the same — United Methodist Church.
