A nationally renowned leadership and choral music training program. 50 high school freshmen-juniors from across the nation will receive a full scholarship to attend and a $1,000 college scholarship to Kansas State University.
The Summer Choral Institute, now in its 44th year, will be held on the campus of Kansas State University. As one of the nation's most unique summer programs, we are seeking the brightest and most passionate high school freshman, sophomore, and junior singers from across the country to spend a week with each other and our acclaimed educators in music and leadership training. All students invited to attend will receive a full scholarship for the Institute covering all expenses including food, room/board, activities, and instruction along with a $1,000 college scholarship to attend Kansas State University. Past institutes have performed on the wing of the Space Shuttle, in front of over 7,000 in the middle of the flint hills with the Kansas City Symphony, at the Eisenhower Presidential Library for special events, and experience many other unique multi-disciplinary activities that help to build leadership skills through choral music. Students from the Summer Choral Institute continually find that this program makes a significant and lasting impact on their lives.
