The 7th Annual Harvest Moon American Indian Festival is a celebration of culture, arts and tradition in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Showcasing the finest of Native American performers, dancers and artists and artisans. As we as Urban Indians break stereotypes, share our strength and offer an opportunity to learn the history of the Osage Trail (modern day Troost Avenue which became known as the Santa Fe Trail.) We ask you to join us in spirit as we celebrate yet another gift of life for the season and the welcoming of the Harvest Time. The children have their own Pow Wow Chow Wow with activities and an opportunity to learn from Joe Rorabaugh-Irwin of Haskell University Indian Health Center. Obesity prevention and healthy activities are on the agenda.
