Founded in Tonganoxie in 1961 as Tonganoxie Assembly of God. After a tornado destroyed the original building in 2001, the building was rebuilt by volunteers and later renamed Cornerstone Family Worship. The church later outgrew the building and they began to hold Sunday services at the Tonganoxie High School. In December 2017 CFW finally held its first service in a new larger building located on the site of the old Sunset Inn located at 205 E 24/40.
