Camp MITIOG is a week-long camp for children ages 8-16 living with spina bifida. It is accredited by the American Camp Association and has been held each summer since 1969. During their week of camp, children participate in camping activities including swimming, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, nature classes, classes on self-help medical care and evening campfires. Camp MITIOG is held at Lake Doniphan Conference and Retreat Center which is located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and provides a wheelchair accessible environment.
