Camp Manitowa is a residential summer camp & retreat center for 2nd–9th graders located at Rend Lake, IL about 90 minutes from St. Louis. We offer traditional camp activities & team building retreats...it's an experience your kids will never forget!
Camp Manitowa is a retreat center and residential summer camp for 2nd – 9th graders located at Rend Lake, IL about 90 minutes from St. Louis, MO and Paducah, KY.
2nd to 9th grade campers gain independence, build self-esteem, and learn about cooperation and problem-solving, all while making new, lifelong friends at Camp Manitowa. We offer a small community for campers so that they feel like they... are part of a Manitowa family. By offering some structured free play we encourage kids to feel a sense of belonging, and our choice time leaves them feeling empowered to learn and grow.
Campers entering 2nd-8th grade can choose from 1 or 2 week residential camp programs. 9th Graders will train at camp and then go on a weeklong Smoky Mountains Adventure. In 2014, in addtion to our weekly schedule, we are offering a week long specialty camp that focus primarily on water skiing.
In addition to traditional summer camps, we offer many retreats, such as Mother/Daughter, Just for Women and Dad & Son weekends. They have all proven to be tremendously popular and typically sellout, so make sure to check out our website for specific dates. We also do private rentals family reunions, church & school groups as well as other groups you may participate in.
