VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP with JCAS

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/07/2020
Experiment. Play. Make new friends. All from the comfort of home! We’ve taken all the best parts of summer camp and created an experience that can be enjoyed from the comfort of home. As always, at the heart of our camp experience is a creative and experiential curriculum provided in a warm, open and creative environment. Campers feel encouraged to take risks, explore ,and try their hand at a myriad of skills and techniques.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Full of traditional summer camp experiences – we’ll engage your little one with a full day’s worth of activities and games including community building, art-making, experiments, and play time with friends!

Each week of camp is designed around a theme and project that campers will work on each day.  Each theme combines art, science, and games to play with old and new friends.  Our camps are developmentally appropriate and our instructors build time to meet the needs of each individual learner.

What will my child do during virtual summer camp?
Each morning, campers will meet via zoom and be tasked with activities and challenges for the day.

  • Camp days begins with opening circle — a time to check in with summer camp friends.
  • Each day campers will have hands-on, fun and creative projects and tasks to complete  and will receive one-on-one time with instructors for feedback and support.
  • And last but not least — we’ll hold virtual recess — being silly and playing games with camp friends!
  • At the end of each week we’ll hold a virtual exhibition so that campers can share their process and projects with family and friends online.

Camps for 8+ years old take place from 9am – 12noon (PST) each day with scheduled one-on-one check ins in the afternoon.
Camps for 5-7 year olds take place from 10am – 12noon (PST) each day.
