This camp is held on the beautiful campus of MidAmerica Nazarene University! We get to rehearse and perform on the exquisite stage of the Bell Cultural Events Center! High School campers will spend six days working to put on a full mainstage production! *Campers may be 19 if they have just graduated high school in the spring of 2023. 2023 Dates: July 16-21 with performances July 21 & 22

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest…and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him—most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart and humor, BIG FISH is an extraordinary musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre—for an experience that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.

We will hold auditions for those who would like an opportunity for a role, solo, or featured dancer; however, you do NOT need to audition in order to participate in this camp. Students who choose not to audition will be placed in the ensemble. Auditions will occur on May 30th from 4-9PM at the First Act Studios.

Callbacks will occur on May 31 from 4-8PM at the First Act Studios. Those students invited to callbacks will receive more information.
