Learn about the famous contemporary African American artist, Mickalene Thomas. Mickalene’s work focuses on womanhood, redefining and challenging our notions of beauty in today’s society. Her visually striking work sometimes included rhinestones to emphasize key elements of her painting Feb 24, 2020. We will be inspired by Thomas’ work and will create a portrait that reflects her bold style
