Great Lenexa BBQ Battle at Sar Ko Par Trails Park

Known as the official Kansas State Championship, more than 150 teams from all over the country will compete for the coveted title of Grand Champion of the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle. Prizes and ribbons awarded to the top 10 contestants in seven categories: brisket, pork, pork ribs, chicken, sausage, beef steak and miscellaneous. Teams host private parties, but the public can roam the park to watch the teams work (and maybe get a few tips from the pros), enjoy live music and activities for the kids. $5 admission Friday. Saturday free. $5 parking. Free satellite parking and shuttle to event.
