Crafting a Recycled Forest: Webinar for Kids!

REDUCE, REUSE AND RE-PURPOSE! Get your creativity flowing as you think about how to turn trash into treasure. Search through your home for recycled materials to bring to the program, so we can talk about what else those items could become. Discover just how much garbage people actually make and then construct your own forest out of the recycled materials you collected. Be sure to bring your imagination!

PLEASE BRING TO THE PROGRAM

1. Thin cardboard (For example: cereal box, tissue box, pasta box, etc.)

2. Glue (any type is ok, but glue sticks are preferable)

3. Scissors

4. Protective cover for your surface

5. Recycled item(s) that can create the look of tree bark

6. Recycled item(s) that can be turned into a leaf or flower

7. Recycled item(s) that can be turned into an animal or insect that lives in a forest

8. A magazine and/or scrap paper that it's ok to cut up

9. A recycled item to contain your recycled forest (For example, a box, top of an egg carton, etc. The bigger your container, the bigger your forest!)

10. Anything else you might want to use in your recycled forest

11. Markers, crayons or colored pencils

12. Masking tape or clear tape (optional)

This online program is best suited for children ages 8-10. Registration is just $10 per child, however you MUST register by Monday, June 8 at 3:30pm.
